Reviews of my story

These are the reviews of my story "Father of my Son" published in Urban Shots : Bright Lights ( Grey Oaks Publications ).

Palak Mathur : "I am crazy about Wodehouse and the craziness of his character. Similar, craziness is evident in the story named Father of my Son by Roshan Radhakrishnan. I think comparison with Wodehouse stands testimony to the wonderful story-telling capabilities that he possesses. I will like to keep a note of him and will fondly be following his career as a writer."

Priyanka : "'Father Of My Son' By Roshan Radhakrishnan is a rib tickling comedy by a good friend and wonderful writer. Having known and read him even before he got published, I can vouch that this man with his crazy sense of humour and comic timing is someone who can get you cracking up in seconds...and his story 'Father Of My Son' stands testimony to that."

Saumya Kulshreshtha : "Generally, I hold a proclivity for intense and emotional stories, but this time, I was bowled over by a light and humorous story by the name of Father Of My Son by Roshan Radhakrishnan- a finely narrated tale of the innocence of childhood, the role and relationships of parents, the balance which needs to be found while performing multiple roles and justifying multiple relations in a family and eventually, the love which defines, binds and sustains a home. I have read and reread this story and it still makes me smile."

Irfan :  “Father Of My Son” by Roshan Radhakrishnan is surely going to make you go crazy with laughter especially if you happen to be a parent of children aged below ten ears. Every time I look at my sons, I cannot help thinking about the hilarious “Father Of My Son”. Mr. Roshan Radhakrishnan has indeed shown a lot of promise as a story-teller in this short-story."

Blublubling : "I have a lot of favourites such as "Father of My Son" by Roshan Radhakrishnan , a story about a young couple and their 7 year old son who wants to marry his classmate. Its so cutely written , the comic timing and the lovey dovey parts between the couple is EPICLY BRILLIANT, reading the whole  book was worth it because of this story . It will surely leave you with a big smile on your face."

Haimanti : "Another story which definitely deserves a special mention for its rib-tickling narrative is “Father of my Son”. The readers having kids at their home can relate with the story from the word go. It is a thoroughly funny and enjoyable read and the love, warmth and innocence which it emanates will certainly touch your heart."

Confused Soul : "One of my favorite reads was ‘Father Of My Son’ written by Roshan Radhakrishnan. BRILLIANT would be an understatement for this lovely piece of work. It is a beautifully narrated tale with comical dialogues and is a fun read, especially for couples with young kids. I must commend the author on his comic timing and the innocence that the kid exudes, is quite cute."

Nadhi's corner : "My top five picks out of the 21 stories would be
  1. Father of my son – Roshan Radhakrishnan
  2. Amul – Arvind Chandrasekhar
  3. The Pig in a Poke – Mydhili Varma
  4. Jo Dikhta Hai, Who Bikta Hai – Sneh Thakur
  5. Hot Pants – Arefa Tehsin

Father of my Son is easily the best story. The timing of the humor in the story is perfect and leaves you laughing loud."

Deccan Herald Newspaper : "The first story that hits you with its creative accomplishment, humour and quirky premise is The Peacock Cut, followed by a story in a similar vein, Father Of My Son, both delightful. The Bengal Tigress is a conservatively written story that explores an interesting theme."

Maryann Taylor : "Roshan Radhakrishna’s story “Father Of My Son” is an amusing account of a father confronting his seven year old son who wishes to get married to his classmate."

TheBookLover'sReview : In Father of my Son by Roshan Radhakrishnan, I found the first really interesting story in the collection. It's a delightful little story of a little boy's naughtiness and repercussions told in a funny, matter of fact manner from the father's perspective. The strict mom and the lenient dad might be cliches but still fun to read nonetheless, especially as an example of familial love.

Prakhar Singh : "Father of My Son is my favourite which has a father backing his son's proposal for marriage."

Mahathi Ramya : 'Father of my Son' and 'Good morning Nikhil' doesn't have a story line exactly but every family can relate to those easily as they capture a simple happy family moments."

A lot like fashion : "Some stories strike a chord with you almost instantaneously as the one which is about the love story of a married couple who have polar opposite styles of raising their child."

Subs : "You are the protagonist in Maami Menace, an antagonist in Hot Masala, confused and witty father in Father of my Sonand an award winning author in Mr. Perierra."
